Let’s face it – we are not all fitness nuts. I am sure I am not the only one groaning aloud at the thought of 45 minutes or more of my days devoted to WORKING OUT! And I’m sure I’m not the only one who has a consuming drive for artfully sculpted buns and thighs and six-pack abs – only a desire for good health. That is why I love this video so much. In a short 20 minutes it will go my wrist and my lower body work. Many side-to-side moves to focus inside and outside of the thigh muscle, which is great. The music is cheerful and relaxed, although some may find the dated (and I have no idea what genre I would put it – sort of R & BI guess …?). The movements are smooth and not too hard to learn. There are alternative methods that can increase or decrease the intensity, although there certainly was a cap on the effectiveness of the movements. Jane is refreshingly low-key (I have several Kathy Smith tapes as well, and though I respect her expertise, my GAWD that woman gets annoying!) – The cueing is decent and Jane focuses on correct form (and it shows also). The models (except that tastefully color-coordinated!) Are of different age and physical fitness (although nobody seems inappropriate), and includes a token male. While a little annoying from time to time, for the most part they are very tolerable. At the end of the aerobic section, you’ll have a short stretching program, which is soft, but thoroughly comprehensive, and enjoyable. The only part of the tape that I never use the relaxation segment at the end. I am too impatient to relax THAT much! I use this video in conjunction with the basic strength training three times a week with dumbbells (based on Kathy Smith’s 10-Week Fitness Makeover workbook) to complete a basic fitness program that works to provide me – meaning it has too many Time to stop taking my beloved pursuits of reading, sewing, or playing Diablo II. The bottom line is that if you are a hard-bodied gym rat or a regular jogger, this band will get you moving just long enough to gain any advantage, especially if you each day and / or in combination with other activities, such as walking, cycling or dancing. This video contains the best short stretching routine that I’ve found the exercise videos, and I’ve tried a number of them. There are better, more stretching routines, but your body gets really stretched out in just 17 minutes. The aerobics section is very short. . . only 11 minutes aerobic and 21 minutes to complete. It is great for beginners and good for everyone to use weight training or stretching prior to your good and warmed up. I’m no fan of progressive relaxation (where you tense your muscles to relax to get them). So, I never use the last part of the tape. In general I would say that the stretch routine alone is worth the price of the video. Rating: 4 / 5

I’ve enjoyed most of Jane’s tapes, and is excellent for beginners (or advanced athletes who need a lighter or short training to do on a given day). The movements are easy to do, and just 20 minutes, the aerobic portion of the tape will not wear you out. The pieces are quite good, though I found a couple of positions a bit difficult to obtain. I LOVE this video. The aerobics are easy to follow and fun! It is your heart rate up, but is not exhaustive. Then you get a WONDERFUL stretching segment is almost over with early! (ideal for improving flexibility and helping to prevent injuries) Finally there is the entertainment section, which releases the tension, and it works really well! I felt so peaceful and calm, yet energetic for the rest of my days. Jane is an expert. Part of what makes her so great it makes you do her exercises with proper form. Everytime I use one of her videos as a personal trainer there with me. Jane is the fitness queen! Rating: 5 / 5

I am a fitness video – and aerobics – fan, and this is one of my favorites. If I could only have 5 fitness videos, this one I certainly would choose. It is a great light workout days, and really helps reduce stress. Jane Fonda leads a (co-ed) in this class fitness training. The first segment is low impact aerobics, with easy to follow choreography and soothing music (sort of an R & B / New Age blend). Then there is a stretching segment, followed by a guided relaxation segment. Fonda gives clear instruction, has a soothing voice, and a low-key approach here. This is a great video, and I can not recommend it highly enough! Rating: 5 / 5
