I bought this based on some reviews here and on the recommendation of a number of listeners Loreena McKennit, and I must say that I am extrememly disappointed! This is just the type of waste that plagued aimless piano bars and shops for years patchouli. . . . . Never offensive, challenging, or requires some effort or desire on the part of the listener to go with what the composer is trying to communicate (there is really nothing there!) Would it be appropriate for one occasion when a sort of background ‘ noise “that do not mix, but I can not think of another purpose. No space is given to one of the musicians to actually do something with drama, flair and skill, and in fact, other than a quick intro here or there, I could not see how one of those (or perhaps could be had!) appears with a synthesizer program and eliminate all the musicians. Mind you, I do not mean playing a synthesizer, just a synthesizer program “does its own thing ‘! If you hope for something like the magic of Loreena McKennit (which really throw away a few very distant places and times), then do not bother with this at all (I threw mine away after the first hearing!). This is Mehdi’s best CD ver. . . . I loved it! His early works are good, but to my ears he spoiled many beautiful compositions with his heavy hand use of programmed percussion. Not so instrumental in Paradise, where electronic drumbeats no longer dominate Mehdi’s music. Mehdi Thanks for making this masterpiece of the New Jazz Age! Rating: 5 / 5

After listening to his previous works, I thought, ‘He’s not gonna top them! ” Boy, was I wrong! You start to listen to this and think that the “same old Mehdi” – and it is. . . kinda. His arrangements are still delicious in their simplicity and amazing spirit he goes from one mood to another without the mentality that he’s in from the first track. I’m a musician since I was seven and while I’ve dreamed of writing the music on this CD, Mehdi lives het.Rating: 5 / 5
