When I heard the album by Health Health, there were tracks that are perpendicular to the bone and really for me, but these cuts were in addition to many others who like a band trying to find his way sounded. A remix album and a single later, and in my ears sounds like the group is locked into something powerful, bold, and beautiful all at the same titled album of remixes moment.Dat may or may not have the major reasoning behind them something new direction before, but “Get Color” is a real mill, with songs that sound like they are made of pure sinew and bone and primer for dancing (or at least struggling in a rapid rhythmic). The album kicks off with ‘In Heat ‘, and things are going less than two minutes with a kick in the teeth were shrieks of atonal synth, shimmering electronics, powerful drums and bass and light, almost ethereal male vocals. It is a perfect opener in the sense that sets the tone for the rest of the album, but swirls with intrigue and never feels like it completely into the ditches lang.Van there, the album is even better. First single “Die Slow” is one of those cuts, that a big hit (but probably just as would be payable in an alternate reality) as a more clumsy bludgeons drums and synth moans for rave-up that incredibly catchy choruses, while ” Before Tigers’ powers again and again by Veering back and forth between massive peaks of guitar noise and sprays of digital waas.Voor my money, though, the best song on the album is the blistering “We Are Water”, a four minutes burner that comes at the end of the disc and really sounds like the only group trying to step on the pedal a little bit more for the whole of one song. Taking elements from all previous numbers (dancey, but heavy rhythms, explosion of electronic sound and light guitars and vocals), she steps on the intensity gradually, let loose with a great explosion about two thirds of the way through that one of my favorite moments in music for the year so toe.Dus yes, probably unnecessarily to say here that “Get Color” is shot my list of favorite albums of the year so far for 2009. At 9 tracks and 33 minutes in running length, it just begs for repeated listening too. [... ] Rating: 5 / 5
