Overall, the book is very informative. I do not think the people that this book should follow every step thinking. There are certain things that seem totally absurd and ridiculous. Do not get me wrong, there are useful tips, but half of the information in this book I already knew. Rating: 3 / 5

I was disappointed the book offered recipes for me to cook for my pet. I want a home remedy type of response. Not sure if a book is that. Rating: 3 / 5

** Update 05-13-09 ** I give this book was originally a 2-stars and stated that it was difficult to read. Well, I was wrong! I have this book and uses a different reading Dr. Pitcairn suggestions on my Rottweiler, Zeus. It does wonders on my dog! Zeus is always something wrong with him in one way or another. The vet has never really pin pointed his problems. He suffered a stiff neck, limp, vomiting, diarrhea, lack of energy, hot spots and the list could go on. I even had acupuncture done on him, and it helped only tijdelijk.Door the dog food crisis that happened a while ago, though his food was not on the list, it was too close to home. I used raw diet Dr. Pitcairn’s “Doggie Oats. Zeus is a large dog (over 110 lbs.) And it would cost a lot to feed him a raw diet. I have found that Doggie Oats budget friendly diet for him. I can find ground turkey on sale and freeze until needed (I actually bought a new refrigerator, which French doors with freezer on the bottom for his dinner, and I love it). The rest of his articles are human friendly and I have no problem with feeding him this diet. I just give him the “Healthy Powder”, liquid glucosamine, along with the Doggie Oats raw food, and my 10 ½ year old Rottweiler acts like he is 4 years old, I had never thought Zeus would to 9 years old. He is now 3 months away from his 11 years old! I am amazed! I am very happy to come on the book by Dr. Pitcairn’s. Even our vet was surprised with the health of Zeus’. Since Zeus is on the raw diet, he went to the vet twice in the past years. . . once for hot spots (a common problem with him because he was a puppy. Last summer we only had a case against in the past 2 or more cases of hot spots in the summer), and its high annual exam. The vet even reduced thyroid medication Zeus. I love the book and recommend to all dog loving parents. Several of my dog loving friends have borrowed this book and their dogs are doing surprisingly well !!!!! Rating: 2 / 5

This second book I ordered came to me in mint condition. Also I always choose the cheapest shipping available and I got the book earlier than expected. I ordered it on December 10 because of the holidays coming up thinking it may take a while before I received. I did it in less than one weeks. I am very pleased with Maryam service. Thanks for the great customer service. Rating: 5 / 5
